Sergio Ermotti, a Swiss banker from Lugano, Switzerland, is the Chief Executive Officer of UBS AG, the largest financial conglomerate in the country with headquarters in Basel and Zurich and operations worldwide. Ermotti was born on May 11, , and comes from a banking family. At the age of 15, he left school to follow in his father's footsteps and became an apprentice stockbroker at the 'Corner Bank' in Lugano, where his father worked.
